Billon; from 131-159 AD. Obverse shows elephant standing; reverse shows Ujjain/Satavahana symbol. Diameter approx 17mm. This coin is in exceptional condition for issue; very rare in this condition. Weight 2.98g. £80

 

ITEM No. 1247- INDIA, KUSHANO-SASSANIAN DRACHM OF HORMIZD I
Diameter approx 15mm; copper. Obverse shows diademed, bearded bust of king right; reverse shows fire altar, with bust of Ahura Mazda emerging at the top. Believed to be Göbl 1052, Cribb 24. Good VF. Weight 2.25g. £50

From approx 20-50 AD. One side shows horseman with whip; other side shows Zeus standing left. Very dark toning. Weight 10.1g. £20

 

ITEM No. 1264- INDO-SASSANIAN - AE22 OF TURAN / ARDAMITRA - RARE
An AE22 coin of Ardamitra from the Indo-Sassanian kingdom of Turan. Early 3rd Century AD. Extremely rare, with only a handful of known examples. Reverse shows fire-altar. Weight 7.18g. £60
