From the late 6th Century BC. Reverse shows star ornament within incuse square; obverse shows lion's head right. Weight 1.04g. £75

From approx 486-450 BC. Obverse shows archer kneeling right; reverse shows oblong punch. Small rectangular countermark to left of archer. From the period of Xerxes - Artaxerxes I (Persia). Diameter approx 15mm at widest. Weight 5.45g. £60

Obverse shows janiform female head; reverse shows helmeted head of Athena. Diameter approx 11mm at widest. About VF. Similar to Sear 3879 but with Athena facing right rather than left. Weight 1.18g. £90

 

ITEM No. 1407- MYSIA / PARION - 3/4 DRACHM, C. 480 BC - SCARCE!
A three-quarters drachm of Mysia / Parion from around 480 BC. One side shows incuse square containing cruciform pattern; other side shows gorgoneion. Diameter approx 12mm. Similar to Sear 3917. Weight 3.17g. £60

ITEM No. 1496- SELEUKID KINGDOM - ALEXANDER I TETRADRACHM
From 150-145 BC. Reverse shows Zeus enthroned left; BASILEWS ALEXANDROU to right; QEOPATOROS EYERGETOU to left. This coin is a bit grubby and might benefit from being professionally cleaned; rough surface to left of obverse; otherwise near-VF. Weight 16.9g. £200

 

ITEM No. 1556- SELEUKID KINGDOM - PHILIP PHILADELPHOS TETRADRACHM
Struck under Roman occupation, some time after 64 BC. Obverse shows bust of Philip right; reverse shows Zeus enthroned left. Diameter approx 26mm at widest. Weight 14.8g. £100
